FIREPROOF: The Movie

My wife and I saw Fireproof the opening weekend.  The theater had about 30 people in attendance for a late afternoon showing and both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the film. Since then I have spoken to other Christians who have seen the film, and everyone reports a similar level of enjoyment. The theme of the film surrounds the broken marriage of a Fire Captain and his Marketing Director wife.  While not the highest budget film, the elements of the film satisfy the bare minimums for a Hollywood production. The heart of the film surrounds the way a family can fail and how that failure can lead to a growing distance and poor choices in decision making.  The solution is presented in the form of "The Love Dare," a challenge to love unconditionally those we are commanded to love, and more specifically our spouses. Movie I want to see: FIREPROOF

I just saw the trailer for the new movie Fireproof.  This looks to be the kind of movie the Christian community needs to see and get behind.  While we may not be able to agree with every nuance of theological viewpoint, we can certainly agree with the ideas and foundations of love, service and dedication; especially in this world where we are taken apart as Christians in the hearts and minds of the average person. http://www.fireproofthemovie.com/ This link will take you the the movies main page.  I am looking forward to seeing this film and I will be sure to let everyone ow what I thought about it. My Apologies..

It's alot easier to think about blogging than to do it in a real way. I have started and abandoned several attempts at blogging, and this one lasted through May 2008 with fairly fresh updates. My apologies to anyone who started following, I intend to keep going. I'm looking into hurting myself and discussing fornication. It's an interesting topic especially for those of us, repeatedly offending in our bodies, hearts, or minds. I have also been looking into the definition and meaning of the scriptural idea of future, and God's relationship to what we consider or commonly refer to as time.
