Genre: Other.\",\"meta\":{\"artist\":\"Elder Matthew Davis\",\"album\":\"Covenant Reformed Church GV\",\"genre\":\"Other\",\"year\":\"2016\",\"length_formatted\":\"48:29\"},\"image\":{\"src\":\"https:\\\/\\\/biblefreak.org\\\/teaching\\\/wp-content\\\/uploads\\\/2019\\\/12\\\/The-Completion-Fulfillment-and-Perfection-of-Christ-Elder-Matthew-Davis-2319178144-mp3-image-1.jpg\",\"width\":196,\"height\":242},\"thumb\":{\"src\":\"https:\\\/\\\/biblefreak.org\\\/teaching\\\/wp-content\\\/uploads\\\/2019\\\/12\\\/The-Completion-Fulfillment-and-Perfection-of-Christ-Elder-Matthew-Davis-2319178144-mp3-image-1-150x150.jpg\",\"width\":150,\"height\":150}}]}<\/script>\n<\/div>\n\t\n<p>The entirety of Psalm 6 is a petition, a cry, a reflection upon personal weakness in the midst of trials, it speaks to the frailty of this life, and the consequences of our sins.\u00a0 This image of Covenantal Wrath is given first.<\/p>\n<p>In vv 1 and 3 we see the image of God\u2019s Wrath, his rebuke, chastisement, his hot displeasure.\u00a0 For the sorrows of this life can only be perceived in a personal way.\u00a0 We cry out to the LORD from a depth of knowledge which is impressed upon us as individuals.\u00a0 The consequences of our sins may impact others around us, even severely, but out personal understanding and experiences are the method the LORD uses to teach us.<\/p>\n<p>Note the passion of David\u2019s instruction and pleas.\u00a0 For in the face of often painful trials, when we OUR soul\u2019s troubles are magnified (greatly troubled: \u05e0\u05b4\u05d1\u05b0\u05d4\u05b2\u05dc\u05b8\u05a3\u05d4 \u05de\u05b0\u05d0\u05b9\u0591\u05d3) we turn to the LORD in total and complete surrender.<\/p>\n<p>In v2 we see the YHWH\u2019s implement of teaching.\u00a0 The bringing US as individuals to our weakest point so that ONLY HIS MERCY through our SUPPLICATION is before us.\u00a0 Here the picture is of totally dependency.\u00a0 When we are brought to the place where we recognize the frailty of life, OUR weakness OUR very frame (\u05e2\u05b2\u05e6\u05b8\u05de\u05b8\u05bd\u05d9) in this mortal life, we speak as through our bones ache, our heart broken, we recognize OUR utter dependence upon the LORD.\u00a0 We cry out, How Long?<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our petitions are NOT for temporary comfort only.
