A Son According to Faith (Titus 1:1-4)

Because the art, significance and importance of addressing one another in written form and language has been lost in the modern era, and reduced to a series of canned responses, electronic and otherwise, it is essential when looking at the Epistles in the New Testament we stop and reflect upon the opening address and what the writer is sharing with his readers.

This importance is derived from the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, which intended to address not only individuals, but every beloved as member of the Body of Christ.  Even in when epistles are addressed to specific individuals, the endearment, love, recognition, respect and hope which the epistle introductions convey are intended for the comfort, assurance and building up of the faith of every beloved and adopted child of God.
