In the opening chapters of the Epistle to the Hebrews, the author builds upon the work of Christ by describing it as “being made perfect” and continues to explain the elements of the Law in relation to the completion of Christ’s work as our brother. He also fulfills the office of mediator and High Priest through the propitiation, or blood payment, for the sins of his people. This completion, fulfillment, and perfection of Christ allows those who are elected to enter into the presence of their perfectly just and holy God.
